Education and Training
I hold a B.A. in Classical Studies and Environmental Studies from Union College in Schenectady, NY and a M.S. in Childhood Education from CUNY at Hunter College in NYC.
I have taught in 2nd, 4th, and 5th grade classrooms in NYC public schools.
I’m especially passionate about working with folks who are…
teachers who are in their first few years of teaching and looking to be understood for all the challenges newer teachers face; teachers who are experiencing burnout and looking to achieve more balance in their personal and professional lives; and teachers who are reassessing what they want to achieve in their career in education. I understand the challenges that teachers have always faced, made only more difficult in recent years by the pandemic and changing educational climate. My goal is to give you a safe space to show up as you are and to help you see that you have the tools to meet any struggles in a way that affirms who you are.
If I could share one thing with prospective clients, it would be…
that every situation, no matter how difficult, presents an opportunity to learn and grow. Coaching with me is about keeping that in mind, having compassion for the present situation, and identifying the sometimes-hard-to-see opportunities to grow.
